New Cinematography Reel!
Finally! I've updated my Cinematography Showreel with work from late 2009 - present. I decided to keep this one short since my last one was way too long. I definitely feel solid about this one I've really progressed since 2009. Check it out!
I'm originally from Baltimore, Maryland and lived there with my mom and grandfather until I graduated high school and moved to New York City to attend The Art Institute of New York City for Video Production. I currently reside in Queens, New York. I am a freelance cinematographer working on low budget narratives, commercials, and music videos. I'm always trying to better myself as a cinematographer by constantly shooting, networking, and studying both literature, films, photography, paintings, and researching online. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work in a visual medium and tell stories and I love the fact that cinematography is a life long learning process that never ends.
One thing that might set me apart from other cinematographers is that I always seem to have almost nothing to shoot with. My film school had a low supply of gear so I was always being challenged to make something amazing out of nothing. That trained me to really think outside of the box with the tools that I have which always has me thinking "how could I achieve this if I really had what I needed". It's a very slow learning process but I believe you become wiser by following this path.
